‘The best view comes after the hardest climb’- this saying holds true when one views the magnificence of mountains in Himachal Pradesh. Nature has its own way of refreshing one’s mind, body and spirit, inspiring and stimulating new ideas while shaping up a new personality.

Students of classes 6, 7 and 8 from Apeejay School, Model Town in Jalandhar recently completed a three-day adventure trip in Chail, Himachal Pradesh. They participated in many outdoor activities such as trekking in the forest, and took up adventure sports like zip lining, burma bridging and mountain biking.

Praatik Kauldhar, a class 8 student says, “I had a wonderful experience at the camp. There were so many activities to take part in and it increased my confidence. The food served in our cottages was very tasty. I had a lot of fun with my friends, teachers and coaches.” His mother Dr Vaneeta Bhardwar adds, “I want to thank the Rocksport team and the school. My son is very happy after the trip. It was the first time Praatik left home for such a trip but the school took care of our concerns and requests. Thank you again for everything!”

Tanmay Malhotra, another class 8 student had a wonderful experience too. For him, the school outing came as a much-needed break from the monotony of Covid-19 imposed restrictions. He says, “My soul was doing rock-n-roll on the trip. The time spent with my school friends and teachers has left a deep impact on my individuality. All the experiences and adventurous activities gave my being a soul-lifting twist. I really wish that in the coming years, I get another chance to enjoy such a trip. It felt like a free bird soaring in the skies of joy, freedom and love.”

The camp brought out the best in students as they experienced and learnt to enhance qualities such as discipline, punctuality, cooperation and collaboration.
