For Apeejay alumna Dashmeet Kaur Khanuja her passion lies in analysing complex financial markets. In fact, the budding financial expert aspires to spread financial literacy and become a Research Analyst in the future. Having studied BBA in Financial Markets, she has a great interest in the stock market.
At the same time, Dashmeet isn’t just passionate about financial markets. She is also an ardent singer. Possessing both these passions, the enthusiastic learner is currently working on creating diversified content for her two YouTube channels ‘Dashmeet Kaur’ and ‘Technical Analysis by Dashmeet Kaur’ along with polishing her analytical skills to ace the dynamic stock market.
When asked if she is doing what she loves, she said, “Yes, I am. I have a great passion for the stock market and that’s what encouraged me to pursue a course from Apeejay Stya University. The School of Management Sciences at Apeejay University offers a financial markets course in collaboration with NSE (India), which imparts a holistic understanding of the subject. I love analysing equities and learning new tricks as well as trading techniques to enhance my skills.”
Stock market on YouTube
“When I was staying in the hostel, many of my friends told me that they too wanted to learn about the stock market. They all showed interest in investing which is a very good thing. They asked me if I can help them with this. So this gave me an idea that I should start a Youtube channel for people wanting to learn and invest in the stock market. That’s how I started another YouTube channel named ‘Technical Analysis by Dashmeet Kaur’, where I teach how to start investing in the stock market from the basics using short clips format,” she explained
A journey of learning
Dashmeet explained how faculty at Apeejay helped her to understand the basics of stock market and its analysis. “Subjects like technical analysis added a lot to my learning. And the best thing about Apeejay that I personally like is the diversified courses it offers in the University including management science, design, mass communication, computer science, biotech, pharma, to name a few. And this is how I got an opportunity to interact with people from various different fields, explore a lot and ultimately it boosted my level of confidence,” she highlighted.
