How to make yourself happy

“Happiness is not a goal… it’s a by-product of a life well-lived.” This quote eloquently defines happiness. Every day, we encounter the word “happy,” but do we truly comprehend its meaning? Well, I don’t think so. Happiness is a virtue, a much-needed facet of our lives. We often see people with smiles on their faces, but beneath the surface, they might be broken and sorrowful. Various factors contribute to this state of unhappiness or mental distress.

What does it mean to be mentally unwell? Being mentally unwell doesn’t solely imply depression, taking pills, or visiting a therapist. Many believe it involves isolation and withdrawal from others. However, these are just fragments of the whole picture. When an individual wears a smile in front of others while shedding tears in solitude, questioning every aspect of themselves, that’s when they’re overwhelmed by agony, despair, and anguish. It can feel like being trapped on a treadmill, running in the same place.

These negative thoughts don’t dissipate easily or quickly. Someone undergoing such experiences must rediscover happiness and confide in others about their sorrows. Many people hide their struggles, but if you find yourself in this situation, reach out to someone you trust and share your feelings without feeling ashamed. This will provide relief and solace. Conditions like depression and schizophrenia are examples of psychosomatic disorders that define mental illness, often requiring therapeutic intervention. Celebrities sharing their mental health journeys can serve as examples for the masses.

Furthermore, we encounter individuals who are striving to find happiness. We should extend our assistance without hesitation because we can’t predict when someone needs help. If we’re too late, we may carry regret throughout our lives for not extending a helping hand.

Always remember, feeling sad or despondent is merely a phase, and you’ll emerge from it stronger and happier. Maintain faith in a higher power; it will send help in the form of angels. Life is an ongoing journey; even in times of uncertainty, it persists. Many may attempt to bring you down, but only a higher power can pass judgment.
