New class, new notebooks, different teachers and challenging concepts. That’s the summary when one goes from one phase of growth and development to another. Class 1 students at Apeejay School, Pitampura rejoiced and celebrated at the Graduation Day ceremony held on March 10. The virtual event was beautifully curated by the class teachers along with support from performing art teachers and computer faculty of the school. For the session, teachers made special efforts to acknowledge and appreciate the tremendous dedication displayed by students throughout their academic year and therefore, read out citations for each student.

Amongst the attendees, the school welcomed parents and grandparents in encouraging numbers. Ms. Priyanka Sengar, mother of a class 1 student Kabir, says, “The Graduation ceremony organised for our tiny tots has truly been a moment of pride and exhilarating joy. We have together sailed through the unprecedented times and today our children are entering the next phase of their lives. My heart is filled with gratitude and I wish to thank all the teachers for their patience, hard work and never-ending love for the children.”

Ms. Sakshi Gupta, mother of class 1 student Jinisha says, “I would like to express my deep gratitude towards the teachers and Principal Ma’am for ensuring education, development and nurturing for our children during the pandemic. The highlight of today’s ceremony was ‘every child is important’ – and I want to thank the teachers for making us part of it.”

The event encouraged the young minds of Apeejay School, Pitampura to become equipped to fight challenges in the upcoming academic session.

“These wonderful kids came to us as little buds waiting to bloom into pretty flowers. Let’s help them to spread their colour and fragrance. This will make our garden beautiful. Each one has their own potential and their own calling. They will, one day, surprise us and make us proud. There is nothing in the caterpillar that tells you that it is going to turn into a beautiful butterfly. Happy graduation day, dear children.”
