In the culturally diverse landscape of schools with an International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, Halloween is a captivating intersection of global traditions and local flair. This enchanting holiday, traditionally rooted in western cultures, takes on a vibrant and inclusive dimension as it finds its way into the hearts and classrooms of students navigating the rigorous IB framework.

The celebration of Halloween in these institutes transcends geographical boundaries, providing a unique opportunity for young minds to engage with diverse perspectives, showcase their creativity, and embrace the spirit of camaraderie that knows no borders. Through a fusion of haunting costumes, spine-tingling activities, and artful displays, schools transform this October day into an unforgettable, cross-cultural experience that leaves a lasting imprint on students’ educational journey.

Recently, ghoulish excitement filled the halls of Apeejay School International (ASI), Panchsheel Park as students showcased their creativity and flair during this year’s spooktacular Halloween celebrations. The event kicked off with a thrilling participation from the Reception and Primary-Years-Programme (PYP) segment, where young scholars donned their favourite costumes, leaving the audience both amazed and terrified in the ‘Fangtastic’ competition. A bone-chilling short horror story captivated the crowd, setting the tone for the rest of the day.

The eerie atmosphere continued with a variety of spooky game stalls, including tic-tac-toe and toss the ball, where students battled it out for hair-raising victories. Laughter and cheers echoed through the halls as prizes were claimed. In the Middle-Years-Programme (MYP) segment, an assortment of delectable treats awaited both students and educators, featuring sweet spiders and savoury mummies that tantalised taste buds.

The Arts department of the school worked their magic, crafting a mesmerising walkthrough where students could capture memories with the hauntingly spectacular graphics and art they had painstakingly created. Every corner of the school was transformed into a bewitching realm, offering enchanting and ghostly experiences for all in attendance.

The celebration was an enchanting journey into the supernatural, leaving everyone in high spirits and eager for more spine-tingling adventures in the future. This event not only showcased the students’ hidden talents but also united the school community in a memorable celebration of creativity and camaraderie.
