Janmashtami is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Krishna, one of the most indomitable reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. According to the Hindu calendar, the festival is celebrated on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksh. The auspicious day is believed to be re-kindling happiness and hope while destroying the sinfulness around.

Seeking the blessings of the indomitable Lord Krishna, Apeejay Svran Global School in Faridabad celebrated Janmashtami with gaiety and exuberance. The school was filled with the fragrance of beautiful flowers and the colourful wall hangings, depicting the beautiful images of Lord Krishna, captivated every soul.

Adding to the festive mode, students from Classes Nursery to 3 came dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha. The celebration commenced with Dhirendra sir singing bhajans in praise of Lord Krishna. Following which,  the tiny tots holding peacock feathers and flute also sang the blithesome bhajans of Lord Krishna, which enthralled the minds of everyone present there.

The students further added a traditional touch to the entire celebration when they danced to the beat of Janmashtami songs while filling the air with festive spirit.  Also, the students of class 3 participated in a solo dance round that left the audience spellbound. Class 3 student Lavish Sachdeva was awarded for performing exceedingly well and securing a position among the top 10 in a programme conducted by LogIQids.

The students were also educated about the significance of this festival. Ms. Priti Wason, Principal of the School, blessed all the students on this auspicious day and gave them the message of always looking ahead and working tirelessly.

Lord Krishna is the finest example of how one can go through life like a lotus in mud; flowering by living at its fullest with total acceptance of everything, and yet completely untouched by the worldly outcomes.
