Students Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication orgainsed a pre Diwali bash. Since the ‘Festival of Lights’ is just a couple of days away and the surrounding calls for happiness in homecoming. With this illuminating thought, the students of Corporate Communications and Event Management with our respected faculties tend to take an initiative to organise their first successful event on Diwali and give the mass communication family pre-festive vibes, where these creative learners were asked to come in traditional wear.

Proceeding with the event, it started with an auspicious Guru Vandana. This was led by our very own hosts for the event Prachi Khandelwal and Gaur Khandelwal from Television and Radio Journalism and Production lighting diyas as followed by welcoming honorable guests for the day, Dr. Kalpana Singh and Dr. Etinder Singh, along with our lovely Director Sajal Mukherjee.

Subsequently starting the occasion with some beautiful poetry and singing performances the program was filled with soulful energy. After which, marking this auspicious festival, students were also given refreshments and a gift by our sweet professors.

Lastly, to energise the students with some real festive feels there was a Garba hour, in which all the students danced their hearts out and filled the campus with vibrancy, energy and fun.

Overall, it was a successful event organised by the budding event organisers. This also served as a fresh idea to bring mass communication students in cultural harmony and gave a platform to share some cherishable memories among each other. Finally, I wish “this Diwali you welcome the thoughts, rich in peace, to your abode called heart.”
