Celebrating cultural pride on the birth anniversary of Smt Rajeshwari Paul

Last week, a special celebration was held at Apeejay School, Tanda Road in Jalandhar to commemorate the 99th birth anniversary of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul ji. The event commenced with a grand ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by insightful speeches Ms. Deepti Kaushal, Coordinator, Ms. Sangeeta Nistandara, Principal and Ms. Anjana mam, who shared heartfelt anecdotes about the remarkable life and contributions of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul ji, the beloved wife of late Dr. Stya Paul, the Founder-Chairman of Apeejay Stya and Svran Group.

The highlight of the celebration was the captivating performances by the talented students. The tiny tots, with their adorable innocence, mesmerised the audience with a delightful Kashmiri dance, capturing the essence of the region’s vibrant culture. Next, the students of class 8 rendered a soulful bhajan, enchanting everyone with their melodious voices and devotion.

Keeping the spirit of tradition alive, the students of class 5 showcased their cultural pride with a captivating folk song, celebrating the rich heritage of our country. The programme continued to enthrall the audience as the students presented a mesmerising dance performance depicting scenes from the epic Ramayana, showcasing their artistic prowess and creativity.

The entire celebration was a splendid tribute to the qualities and values embodied by Smt Rajeshwari Paul ji, as each child portrayed her exceptional traits through their performances. The event provided a platform for the students to not only showcase their talents but also to remember and honour the inspiring figure.
