Apeejay professor delivers guest lecture on post-pandemic leadership

Anuj Kumar, assistant professor, Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Delhi, was invited recently by Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce (SGGSCC), Delhi, to deliver a guest lecture. The online lecture was themed “Changing dynamics of leadership” and was attended by over 60 students.

Professor Kumar interacted with the students while sharing his insights on the topic. He spoke about different leadership roles and how they have evolved over the years while highlighting the duties that come with them.

The Apeejay professor also focused on global leaders from different fields, from politics to business and sports, among others. He spoke of their different approaches to leadership, from autocratic to democratic, along with the changing communication medium. He highlighted how the COVID-19 pandemic made people rethink leadership roles and the skills required for the job.

The students appreciated the lecture and took back important lessons. Talking about the session, professor Kumar said, “Overall it was a good lecture. Leadership dynamics are very important for the understanding of global managers and students were keen to gain from the topic.”

The lecture was organised by the International Cell of SGGSCC.

Earlier this month, professor Kumar also delivered an online guest lecture at Doctor Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. He delivered a lecture on the topic of e-marketing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which was attended by more than 40 academicians from various institutes.
