One day, a boy was playing in a garden. Suddenly, he saw butterflies and started running after them. He tried to catch them but failed. Later, he saw the colourful flowers and was very happy to see such beauty. A few minutes later, he saw a frog jumping and as he ran behind it but the frog jumped into the pond.

Also, he saw a cow chewing the grass, who was disturbed by the buzz of the butterfly. The boy clapped and laughed. He was enjoying the beauty of the nature.

He said, “Nature is so wonderful and its beauty attracts everyone.” When he saw a squirrel he ran after it and reached a bed of roses. He tried to pluck some of the roses but a thorn pierced his finger and he got hurt.

The boy was in severe pain so he started crying and ran to his house. His mother asked him “what’s the matter?” Why are you crying? He said, “the thorn of the rose pierced my finger, while I was plucking it. Now I feel the pain.”

To which his mother replied, “It is your mistake. You should not have tried to pluck the flowers.”

“The flowers are meant to be seen and not to be plucked. We should always help to maintain nature,” she explained.

The son understood the fact and said, “Okay! Mamma. I’ll make sure to take care of the beauty of nature.”

So, what we learned from this? We should protect all living beings, whether animals or plants. We should never harm them and keep their beauty alive.
