If education seems like a punishment, then clearly this glorious process is failing in its essence. Education has to be fun and joyful, a process that involves the child completely. It is only then that the learner feels empowered to learn and develop his/her higher capabilities.
Apeejay School, Tanda Road in Jalandhar leaves no stone unturned to make sure that every child does not only learn but also enjoy themselves in the process of learning. To help the toddlers enjoy learning basic concepts, the school devised many fun educational techniques and methods.

One of them was via an animated display of figures. Young minds learned about various animals such as lion, tiger, wolf, elephant, among others through cute animated drawings. Students recognised the animals after seeing their paper cutouts. It made the children feel that the animal had suddenly come alive. Students not only learned recognition but also counting, as they slowly in their own pace counted the number of cut-outs and gave the answers to their teachers.

Children also made various fun animals through paper cutting. Students made adorable rabbit, honey bee and ladybug cut-outs and pasted them in their notebooks. Through this activity they learned about the significance of the oval shape and it also helped them in spotting many oval creatures in nature.
The students then engaged in another fun activity wherein they had to identify the number ‘9’ amongst many numbers enclosed within the drawing of an octopus. Through this activity the identification skills of the children were strengthened. Students further also recognized learning alphabets and numbers by using counting beads.

Lastly, a fun hand colouring activity helped the students learn backward counting 10 to 1. Speaking about the same, Principal, Mrs Sangeeta Nistandra mentioned, “We, at the school, always ensure that education is fun for all students. They must enjoy themselves as they grow with each new lesson and task. We as educators put in our best efforts for the same and shall always continue to do so.”
