Balvatika III students turn craft into meaningful learning
Through creative pretend play, learners at Apeejay School, Faridabad, bring art, play and communication together
Young learners at Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad, took part in a thematic activity that combined art, imagination and early learning. The activity was organised for the students of Balvatika III and centred on mobile making and pretend play.
Through the session, children explored how a familiar object could be created with simple craft materials and later used during imaginative play. The activity kept the learning practical, visual, and easy for young minds to understand.
Creating their own mobiles
During the art and craft segment, students designed handmade mobiles using their favourite colours and buttons. Each child made personal choices while arranging and decorating the craft.
The process encouraged them to work with colour, shape and design. It also gave them the freedom to express their ideas through a simple object that they recognised from everyday life.
The classroom became a space where children could create at their own pace. Their finished mobiles reflected individual preferences and helped make the activity more personal and enjoyable.
Learning through Pretend Play
The activity continued with pretend play. Students used their handmade mobiles in different ways and explored situations linked to communication.
