Recently, Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar, hosted a significant milestone in its journey toward educational excellence, the School Accreditation Gunvatta Yatra (SAGY) 2025, organised in collaboration with NABET–QCI, Government of India. The event brought together school leaders, educators, and quality practitioners, marking a day dedicated to fostering continuous improvement, innovation, and quality benchmarks in school education.
The day began on a serene and spiritual note with the auspicious Ganesh Vandana and ceremonial lamp lighting, invoking divine blessings for a day of wisdom, insight, and collaboration. The warmth and grace of the inaugural session set the tone for what was to be an inspiring journey of shared learning and self-reflection.

Dr Rajesh Kumar Chandel, Principal of Apeejay School, Model Town, welcomed the dignitaries and participants, underlining the importance of quality assurance and accreditation in enhancing the overall learning ecosystem. He emphasised how the school’s association with initiatives like SAGY reflects Apeejay’s unwavering commitment to upholding high standards of education, innovation, and governance.
The highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of Ms Adibha, the esteemed Resource Person from NABET–QCI, whose insightful leadership guided the session. Her address focused on the Accreditation Standards for Quality School Governance (ASQG), which are closely aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Through interactive discussions and practical insights, She encouraged participants to adopt a holistic approach to quality management in schools—one that integrates inclusivity, academic excellence, and institutional growth.









The session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 59 school leaders, including principals, coordinators, and educators from across the region. They actively engaged in discussions on educational excellence, governance practices, and the evolving role of schools in shaping responsible global citizens. The event became a platform for sharing best practices, exchanging ideas, and reinforcing the collective mission of empowering schools to achieve quality excellence.
The SAGY 2025 at Apeejay School, Model Town, stood as a celebration of collaboration, reflection, and commitment to continuous growth.
