Apeejay College of Fine Arts celebrates academic excellence at 44th Convocation

Convocations serve as a poignant reminder of the transformative power of education and the significance of academic milestones in shaping the trajectory of students’ lives. Thus, acknowledging the achievements of its students, Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) in Jalandhar celebrated its 44th Convocation.

Around 570 students were conferred with degrees for their academic achievements amidst a backdrop of tradition, inspiration, and hope for the future. Guided by the visionary ideals of the Founder Chairman Dr. Stya Paul ji, the college continues to uphold its legacy of excellence while nurturing talent and honouring its rich heritage.

The presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Shri Nirmal Mahajan, and Dr. Sucharita Sharma, added grandeur to the convocation ceremony. As the ceremonial procession commenced with the patriotic anthem of Vande Mataram, students were captivated by a touching documentary chronicling the remarkable journey of  Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, who is the source of inspiration and motivation.

In her address to the graduates, Mrs. Berlia emphasised the significance of mentorship and adaptability in navigating life’s challenges. Drawing parallels to eagles soaring above storms, she encouraged students to cultivate resilience and embrace opportunities for growth and self-improvement.

Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu lauded Apeejay College as a beacon of excellence, aptly comparing it to the Kohinoor diamond that radiates positive energy and instills values in its students. He urged graduates to uphold principles of honesty, discipline, and determination as they embark on their respective journeys beyond academia.

One of the highlights of the convocation was the recognition of 43 students with Roll of Honours, acknowledging their exemplary academic achievements and contributions to the college community. Additionally, distinguished guests conferred degrees upon 570 graduates, symbolising the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

The convocation was a moment of reflection, celebration, and anticipation as graduates prepared to embark on new endeavors, armed with knowledge, skills, and the enduring values instilled by their alma mater.
