Need to reduce fear of failure among students: Pradhan

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan recently chaired the IIT Council in its 55th meeting. During the event, he emphasised upon the need to reduce pressure, fear of failure and rejection among students. With this, he mentioned that there should be zero tolerance for any kind of discrimination.

Furthermore, he asked the IITs to ensure multiple entry-exit options for students and directed the Higher Education department and prepare a detailed report on the issue regarding concerns about student dropouts in the premier technical institutions.

In addition, he enhanced support to SC and ST students and increased the tenure of support to female PhD students for an additional year.
