In a spirited effort to nurture environmental awareness and communication skills, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, hosted a dynamic Hindi Debate Competition. Nelson Mandela had once said, “Debate and divergence of views can only enrich our history and culture.” With this in focus, the school organised an Inter House Hindi Debate Competition for students of Classes III to V on the pertinent topic “Global Warming Ke lLye Hum Jimmedar Hain” (We are responsible for global warming). The event aimed to develop critical thinking, boost oratory skills, and instil a deeper understanding of environmental responsibilities among young learners.
Students from all four houses participated with enthusiasm, displaying remarkable confidence and eloquence. Speaking both for and against the motion, participants presented well-researched facts, real-life examples, and personal insights. Their speeches reflected not just their preparation but also their growing awareness of environmental concerns and their role in addressing them.

The debate was judged by Mr Sanjeev Mishra, a respected academician and passionate advocate for environmental education. He commended the participants for their clarity of thought and persuasive delivery, encouraging them to continue engaging in such meaningful discussions. He emphasised how platforms like these play a vital role in shaping responsible and aware future citizens.
Following a highly competitive and engaging session, Manan from Class V was declared the Best Debater, impressing the judges with his compelling arguments and confident demeanour. Raavi of Class IV secured the second position, while Sanaya Gupta of Class V earned the third spot with her impactful speech and structured presentation.
All participants were awarded certificates of participation, while the winners received special recognition and warm applause from their peers and teachers. Principal Mr. Vineet Vashishtha lauded the efforts of students and mentors alike, reiterating the school’s commitment to nurturing environmentally conscious leaders of tomorrow.

Dr Vineet Vasishtha, Principal of the school, shared, “I am proud of our young students for addressing a global concern like climate change with such maturity and insight. Events like the Hindi Debate Competition not only build communication skills but also shape students into thoughtful, aware individuals. I congratulate all participants and winners, and I thank our teachers for their dedication. Let us continue to provide such platforms that ignite minds and inspire action. Together, we can nurture a generation that truly cares for the planet.”
The event concluded on a thoughtful and positive note, leaving students inspired and empowered to take responsibility for the planet.
