Young Minds Solve Cyber Mysteries: Apeejay School, Noida Shines at ELIVIRIA V3.0

However, with great connectivity comes an even greater threat: cybercrime. As the world increasingly shifts online, cybersecurity has emerged as one of the most critical skill sets of the 21st century. Recognizing this need, schools are fostering young talents to tackle digital challenges with finesse.

Against this backdrop, the Tech Club Elithon of K.R. Mangalam World School, Greater Noida, hosted the much-awaited third edition of their annual technology festival, ELIVIRIA V3.0. The event brought together tech-savvy students from across the region to compete in various high-stakes challenges. Among the standout participants was the dynamic team from Apeejay School, Noida Ariet Jha from class 12, Surat Sahni, Ritobrato Bhaumik , and Kritin Iyer from class 11 showcased exceptional problem-solving prowess in the Cryptic Hunt event and clinched the third position.

A Thrilling Hunt for Cyber Clues

The Apeejay Noida’s team’s success at Cryptic Hunt—a cryptography and cybersecurity challenge—was the culmination of meticulous preparation, creativity, and sheer determination. Speaking about the event, team leader Surat Sahni shared, “Cryptic Hunt and CTF (Capture the Flag) are highly engaging events designed to test your critical thinking. Participants are tasked with deciphering cryptograms and conducting in-depth online searches to uncover solutions. In Capture the Flag, we delve into areas like forensics, web exploitation, cryptography, and steganography to retrieve hidden ‘flags’ that represent the solution to complex problems.”

Surat also highlighted the high-energy competition format, explaining, “The events are conducted online in a leaderboard style, where the first to solve all levels emerges victorious. It’s a race against time and intellect. These activities are incredibly important for students like us who are passionate about ethical hacking and cybersecurity. They help equip our generation with essential skills to stay safe and secure in the increasingly vulnerable cyber world.”

Apeejay Noida’s legacy in Cyber Security

The team’s achievement at ELIVIRIA V3.0 is just one chapter in their string of triumphs. Surat proudly mentioned that the Apeejay Noida team has consistently excelled in similar events across Delhi-NCR:

• 1st Prize at the Wartex event, S.R. DAV Public School
• 1st Prize at the Compufest event, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School
