It was a significant sporting achievement for Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, as its students delivered an impressive performance at the 23rd Jalandhar District Sub-junior Kickboxing Championship 2026. The championship was held at Banarsi Dass Arya College, Jalandhar, and brought together young athletes from different schools across the district.
The students from Apeejay School secured several medals across categories, reflecting disciplined preparation and growing participation in competitive sports at the school level. Their performance also highlighted the importance of structured sports training in building confidence, focus and resilience among students.
In the Younger Cadet Girls category, Samriddhi Sharma of Class V won the Gold medal in the minus 32 kg Point Fight event, while Prizleen Kaur of Class V secured the Silver medal in the minus 42 kg Point Fight category. Among the Younger Cadet Boys, Dhritil Gupta of Class VI earned a Gold medal in the minus 37 kg Point Fight event. Harkunwar Singh Dhuper of Class VI added another Silver medal in the minus 42 kg Point Fight category.


The Older Cadet Girls category also saw strong performances from the school. Aadhya Kapoor of Class VIII won Gold in the minus 37 kg Point Fight event, while Yuvika of Class VIII secured Gold in the minus 50 kg Point Fight category. In the Older Cadet Boys section, Bhav Aggarwal of Class VIII won Gold in the minus 52 kg Point Fight event and Silver in the minus 52 kg Light Contact category.
The students trained under the guidance of the coach, Mr Yadwinder Gupta, whose mentorship played an important role in preparing the team for the championship. Adding to the achievement, all seven players were selected for the Sub Junior State Kickboxing Championship held at Banarsi Dass Arya College, Jalandhar Cantt.
The achievement reflects the school’s continued encouragement towards sports participation and balanced student development.
