Young champs of this school shine at Inter-house Tennis Competition

The Primary Department of Apeejay School, Noida, recently hosted an exciting Inter-house Tennis Competition for students of classes I to V. This engaging event aimed to instil a love for tennis while encouraging healthy competition among young learners. To ensure an enriching experience for students across different age groups, the competition was divided into two categories: 

Classes I-III: Activities were designed to evaluate foundational skills such as hand-eye coordination, agility, and basic racket-handling techniques. These fun and interactive challenges provided younger students with an opportunity to build confidence and explore their aptitude for the sport. 

Classes IV-V: Students in the senior primary classes participated in competitive matches. The young players showcased remarkable tennis skills, strategic gameplay, and sportsmanship as they competed to earn points for their respective houses. 

Fostering Talent and Team Spirit

The competition provided a platform for students to explore their potential while promoting teamwork and camaraderie. Each house cheered enthusiastically for their players, creating an electrifying atmosphere on the tennis court. The energy and determination of the participants were truly inspiring. 

The event concluded with a sense of achievement for all the participants. The results reflected the exceptional talent and hard work of the students. 

Class I: Boys: Ibhan Sharma and Harshvardhan Singh (RK House); Girls: Saanvi Pilania and Nidhyana Thakur (Nehru House) 

Class II: Boys: Hridaan Tandon and Takshit Arora (Nehru House); Girls: Sharvee Jain and Prisha Sharma (Gandhi House) 

Class III: Boys: Aarav Awana and Atharv Johri (Gandhi House); Girls: Yashita Vyas and Vidushi Singh (Tagore House)

Class IV: Boys: Reyansh Mehra and Divit Manocha (RK House); Girls: Pari Dhameja and Eliana Khanna (Nehru House) 

Class V: Boys: Vedant Verma and Divit Agarwal (Gandhi House); Girls: Pranya Tanwar and Samridhi Jain (Tagore House) 

Building Skills Beyond the Court

The Inter-house Tennis Competition was more than just a sporting event. It encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones, learn discipline, and embrace the values of fair play. For many, it was a chance to discover a new passion and build lifelong memories.  

This vibrant celebration of tennis underscored Apeejay School, Noida’s commitment to holistic development, ensuring students grow academically, physically, and emotionally. The event ended with applause for the winners and a promise of greater sporting endeavours in the future.
