Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar, celebrates yet another milestone as two of its National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets have been selected by the 2 Punjab Battalion NCC for the prestigious Best Cadet Competition Training. The achievement is a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing disciplined, confident, and responsible young leaders.
Cadet Aarish Saini (Junior Division) and Cadet Avni Oberoi (Junior Wing) have earned this distinguished opportunity after demonstrating exceptional dedication, discipline, leadership potential, and commitment to the core values of the NCC. Their selection marks an important step in their NCC journey and reflects the consistent efforts they have invested in training and personal development.
The Best Cadet Competition is regarded as one of the most prestigious platforms in the NCC, where cadets undergo rigorous training and are assessed on multiple parameters, including leadership qualities, drill, physical fitness, general awareness, personality, and overall performance. Being selected for the training programme itself is a significant accomplishment, as it provides cadets with an opportunity to represent their battalion at higher levels of competition.
The school community expressed immense pride in the remarkable achievement of the young cadets. Their success serves as an inspiration for fellow students, reinforcing the importance of discipline, perseverance, and a spirit of service. The accomplishment also highlights the school’s continued emphasis on holistic education, where academic excellence is complemented by character-building activities and leadership development through programmes such as the NCC.
Teachers and mentors congratulated Aarish and Avni for their dedication and encouraged them to make the most of the intensive training ahead. They expressed confidence that the cadets would continue to uphold the values of the NCC and represent both the school and the battalion with distinction in the forthcoming stages of the competition.
