To celebrate the spirit of Diwali, Apeejay School on Tanda Road organised a lively Rangoli Making Activity and Competition. The activity engaged students from pre-nursery to class VIII. The activity not only brightened the school campus but also showcased the students’ creativity. Little hands and young minds bubbled with excitement as they dabbled enthusiastically on the school grounds with colours, flowers, and rangoli designs.

The students took immense pride as they gave their imagination wings and created beautiful designs. Through this activity, they learnt about the essence of Diwali – the triumph of good over evil.
For the students in classes III to VIII, a rangoli-making competition was held. The participants demonstrated impressive skill, patience, and artistic flair. The intricate designs reflected their originality and precision. They were not limited to traditional patterns alone but also contemporary motifs. Each rangoli had a unique story to tell through its colours and details.

Speaking about the activity, Khushi Sharma of class VIII said: “The rangoli competition was a delightful event filled with creativity, colour and excitement. We got guidance and encouragement from our Art teacher for the competition. Displaying our talent, with traditional colours and intricate designs on the floor was a great experience. This competition gave me a sense of accomplishment and instilled self-confidence.”
Sharing a similar sentiment, Janvi Sharma, a student of class VIII, explained that the activity was a challenging competition. “It was tough to pick out the best design and work on it. Working within a time limit and space, encouraged me to manage my resources in the best possible way. This competition helped us to connect with Indian culture and traditions,” she shared.
The competition was amiable and full of creative spirit, giving students a need to push themselves as they created beautiful masterpieces. As the students worked together and shared ideas they learnt from each other. This brought teamwork and community spirit to life.

By organising this activity, Apeejay School, Tanda Road, aimed to instil a sense of cultural pride and encourage artistic expression among its students. The event not only fostered a deeper understanding of Diwali traditions but also left a lasting impact on everyone who participated or observed.
