Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and fervour, reaffirming its commitment to promoting holistic health and well-being among students and staff. The event highlighted the significance of yoga as an integral part of a healthy lifestyle and encouraged participants to embrace its benefits for physical fitness, mental clarity, and emotional balance. 

The celebration witnessed active participation from students and faculty members, who gathered with great zeal to perform a series of yoga asanas, pranayama exercises, and meditation techniques. The session was conducted in a disciplined and serene environment, allowing participants to experience the calming and rejuvenating effects of yoga firsthand.

The occasion was graced by the school Principal, Mr Yashpal Sharma, along with the dedicated members of the teaching and administrative staff. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sharma emphasised the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life. He spoke about how regular yoga practice helps improve concentration, enhances flexibility, reduces stress, and contributes to overall physical and mental well-being.

He encouraged students to adopt yoga as a lifelong habit, stating that in today’s fast-paced world, maintaining a balance between the mind and body is essential for leading a healthy and productive life. His inspiring words motivated participants to recognise yoga not merely as a form of exercise but as a path towards self-discipline, inner peace, and holistic development.

Throughout the session, students demonstrated various yoga postures with confidence and precision, showcasing their understanding of the practice and its benefits. The atmosphere was filled with positivity and mindfulness as participants engaged wholeheartedly in the activities.
