World Broadcast Day: Students experience the dyamic world of sound-powered adventure

In celebration of World Broadcast Day 2025, students from Apeejay School, Model Town, embarked on an enriching educational visit to the MY FM Radio Station. The experience brought alive the spirit of storytelling and sound, giving students a rare opportunity to explore the dynamic world of radio broadcasting.

Welcomed by the warm and energetic RJ Reet, the students were taken on a guided tour of the recording studio and control room. They learned about the intricacies of radio production, the technical setup, and the effort behind every live show. The visit offered real-world exposure to career paths in media and the essential skills that define a successful radio jockey—voice modulation, spontaneity, confidence, and creativity.

Interactive discussions with RJ Reet added immense value, as she shared her journey, broadcasting challenges, and the passion that fuels her profession. Students engaged enthusiastically, asking thoughtful questions and even participating in a mock broadcast session, making the day both educational and memorable.

Visiting MY FM on World Broadcast Day was truly inspiring. Touring the studio, control room, and seeing the equipment firsthand gave me a fresh perspective on radio broadcasting. RJ Reet’s passion stood out, and participating in a mock broadcast was exhilarating. I’m grateful for this enriching experience.The visit ignited curiosity and boosted students’ interest in communication careers. More importantly, it enhanced their public speaking skills and confidence, key life skills in any field. Ajoonee of Class IX-A said, “Our visit to MY FM was an electrifying mix of learning and fun. RJ Reet’s warmth and energy made the experience unforgettable. We learned how a show is crafted, from voice modulation to spontaneous speaking, and even recorded ourselves. I’d love to relive this moment again!”

A Class X student Saanvi Mahajan highlighted, “The radio station visit gave me a behind-the-scenes look at how broadcasts come alive. RJ Reet’s enthusiasm and clarity made it incredibly engaging. It wasn’t just about radio, it was about confidence, communication, and real-life skills that inspire us to express ourselves better.”

Sharing how My FM left a lasting impression on her, Aarish Saini, a student of Class IX-A, expressed, “The positive vibe, insightful tour, and interaction with RJ Reet opened my eyes to the effort behind each show. I now have a deeper appreciation for radio and the creativity it demands”.
