US, India launch working group on education and skill development

In a significant move to enhance bilateral ties, India and the United States have established a collaborative working group focused on education and skill development. The inaugural meeting of the US-India Education and Skills Development Working Group was held in a hybrid format, bringing together key stakeholders from both nations.

The State Department’s Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of South and Central Asia, Donald Lu, and the Ministry of Education’s Joint Secretary of International Cooperation, Neeta Prasad, co-hosted the meeting in New Delhi.

The formation of this working group is poised to have a transformative impact on the people-to-people relationship between India and the United States. By leveraging their respective expertise and resources, the two countries aim to foster greater cooperation in the vital areas of education and skill development. The collaboration will facilitate knowledge-sharing, innovative practices, and capacity building, paving the way for mutual growth and development.
