UGC calls for suggestions to create safe environment for women
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has drafted the ‘Guidelines for basic facilities and amenities for safe, secure environment for women and women cell (for sensitisation, policy implementation, monitoring and grievance redressal). This has been done in Higher Educational Institute’s in light of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The notification by UGC states that it was the responsibility of all institutions to provide “a safe, secure and violence-free environment to all the students, particularly the women students”.
Suggestions and comments from all stakeholders are welcome on the draft guidelines which should be sent in by November 14, 2022 to [email protected]
