Class XII students of Apeejay School, Noida, explore the scenic beauty and adventurous spirit of Manali at an excursion trip

Amidst the towering mountains, lush green valleys, and crisp Himalayan air, the Class XII students of Apeejay School, Noida, embarked on a memorable four-night, four-day educational-cum-recreational trip to Manali from May 20 to May 24, 2026. The excursion, organised for 165 students under the guidance and supervision of 13 teachers, offered the perfect blend of learning, adventure, exploration, and camaraderie, making it an enriching experience for everyone involved.

The journey commenced on the night of May 20 as students departed enthusiastically for the picturesque hill station of Manali. Upon arrival on May 21, the group checked into the hotel and enjoyed a refreshing breakfast before heading out to explore the vibrant Mall Road. Later, students undertook a trek to the renowned Hadimba Temple, nestled amidst towering cedar forests. Surrounded by nature’s serenity, students not only admired the scenic beauty of the region but also learnt about the cultural and historical significance of the ancient temple.

The next day brought even greater excitement as the group travelled towards Sissu through the iconic Atal Tunnel, one of India’s greatest engineering marvels. The breathtaking journey through snow-clad mountains, verdant valleys, and winding roads left the students mesmerised. At Sissu, students experienced the thrill of ziplining over the flowing Chandra River while enjoying spectacular views of the majestic mountains and the enchanting Sissu Waterfall. The scenic landscape and adventurous activities created unforgettable moments for all.

Later, the students visited the famous Solang Valley, where they enthusiastically participated in various adventure sports and recreational activities. The day concluded on a joyous note with a lively DJ night filled with music, dance, and laughter, allowing students to bond with one another and create cherished memories.

On May 23, before beginning the return journey, students visited a Himalayan campsite where a range of team-building and adventure activities had been organised. These included zip line, Burma bridge, multi-line, bamboo bridge, and commando net activities. The sessions encouraged teamwork, confidence, leadership, coordination, and resilience among the students while adding an adventurous spirit to the excursion.

The group returned safely to school on May 24, carrying back countless memories and valuable experiences. The trip to Manali proved to be an ideal combination of education, adventure, and recreation, leaving students refreshed, inspired, and deeply connected with nature and one another.
