Tips to crack a bank interview

Student of Apeejay School of Management (ASM) Dwarka Ashish Pawar has recently been placed with HDFC Bank as a Personal Banker. The Apeejay student always aspired to start his career in a bank or in a consulting firm because there is tremendous growth opportunity in these sectors, if one performs his/her job diligently. Hence, he pursued his PGDM because it would help him in his personal growth as well as to have a better understanding of how a corporate sector works. Read to know more:

Tell us about your placement preparation strategy?

I tried keeping my strategy very clear, I made checkpoints, for example,  going through the web page and understanding about the bank in detail. Then I researched upon my profile i.e Personal Banker, what is actually the work of a personal banker in a bank. There were training sessions organised by our respective faculty, where they told us about the bank and what working in a bank feels like. Our respected dean sir, who has spent a number of years in the banking sector, his knowledge helped me a lot, because I had a subject managing banks and financial institutions in my 4th trimester, there I learnt about the working of the banks.
