Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, turned into a vibrant hub of activity and awareness as the school celebrated World Hygiene Day with great zeal and purpose recently. The event, thoughtfully curated for pre-primary students, aimed at instilling essential hygiene habits among the young learners, laying a foundation for a healthier and more mindful future.
The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr Neha Goel, a parent of Class I student Sanvi, who brought her professional insights to the forefront, making the day all the more special for the students and faculty alike.
The program began on an energetic note with the much-awaited “Hygiene Hero Parade” by Class I students. The children stole the show as they marched confidently, dressed as soaps, sanitisers, masks, and dustbins. With colourful props and bright smiles, they joyfully conveyed the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in daily life.

Following the parade, the adorable tiny tots of UKG staged a Hand-washing Demonstration, showcasing the correct technique for washing hands. With simple steps and catchy rhymes, they educated their peers on preventing the spread of germs. The hands-on activity received warm applause from the audience and helped reinforce the importance of this daily routine.
Class II students took to the stage with a skit that addressed everyday hygiene practices in an engaging and relatable manner. Through expressive dialogue and confident performances, they emphasised how small, mindful actions —like brushing teeth regularly, bathing, or trimming nails — can safeguard health and wellness. Their enactment left a lasting impression, motivating both peers and adults alike.

The visual aspect of hygiene was powerfully portrayed through a PowerPoint presentation by Madam Pooja Sangwan. With vibrant visuals and simple explanations, children learned the dos and don’ts of personal hygiene. Furthering the educational experience, Madam Navneet delved into specific aspects such as oral care, nail hygiene, and environmental cleanliness. She also led the students in a heartfelt Hygiene Pledge, encouraging them to commit to hygienic living as a way of life.
The School Principal, Mr Vineet Vasishtha, in his inspiring address, praised the students and staff for their creativity, enthusiasm, and teamwork in organising such a meaningful event. He further said, “I take great pride in how actively our students and teachers participated in World Hygiene Day. Their creative efforts truly helped instil good habits in our little ones. Hygiene is more than a routine — it’s a value that shapes both character and health. I sincerely thank Dr Neha Goel for her insightful presence and am deeply appreciative of the dedication of Madam Navneet and Madam Pooja.”

Guest speaker Dr Neha Goel further elevated the event with her thoughtful words. She emphasised that hygiene should not be seen solely as a personal practice, but also as a societal duty. Her interaction with the children was filled with warmth, clarity, and practical tips, making the session both informative and delightful.
The event concluded with cheers, laughter, and a renewed commitment among the students to practice hygiene every day. The collective efforts of teachers, students, and guests made the celebration a resounding success, one that left a strong impact on every little heart present.
