Haridya Sharma is very lucky indeed. In UKG itself, she has found a deep passion in life: Drawing. She draws almost everyday and her drawings are regularly submitted to the Apeejay Newsroom platform.

Whatever be the occasion, her  situation-centric drawings beautifully adorn the Apeejay Newsroom website on every special occasion. Selected as this week’s Aspiring Artist, Haridya answers the questions with some help from her mother in a short adorable interview.

Read edited excerpts :

Haridya, how long have you been drawing?

I started drawing when I joined the school. This is my favourite activity in class. I just love drawing!

That’s adorable! So you just pick the pencil, crayon set and set out to draw?

Yes, my favourite art form is free hand drawing because I can draw whatever I want.

And how does your school support you as an artist?

All the teachers at the school praise my artworks and encourage me to keep drawing. With their support I also participated in the Indian Art contest and won that competition.

In UKG and already a star! Haridya! What is art for you?

Art makes me more creative. I can express my thoughts through it and that makes me very happy.

How much time does it take you to complete an artwork?

It depends on the type of artwork. Generally, it takes me half an hour to one hour to complete an artwork.

What are the common ideas and themes?

I love nature related drawings, basically the things around us. I love to draw rivers, trees and kids playing.

A new artform you wish to learn?

I want to learn painting.

Apart from art, do you enjoy any other hobby?

Dancing is my favourite hobby; it makes me happy in the same way like drawing.
