This MBA student highlights the invaluable experience of internship

Aarzoo Juneja, is a student of PGDM at Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka. She decided to pursue a management programme because she has always been interested in the business world. “I am fascinated by how businesses operate and how they can be successful. I believe that a management degree will give me the skills and knowledge I need to make a difference in the business world.” The Apeejay student is currently interning with Maruti Suzuki India Limited. In this interview, she shares why internships are important and key learning she has gained so far.

You are interning with Maruti? How did you crack this internship? How has your experience been so far?

I am currently interning with Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s finance department. I got this internship through the Maruti Suzuki internship portal. I applied for the internship and was selected after a series of interviews. My experience so far has been amazing. I have learned so much about the automotive industry and the finance function. I have also had the opportunity to work on real-world projects, which has been a great learning experience.

Why do you think internships are important? How is it adding to your professional growth?

I think internships are important because they give students the opportunity to gain real-world experience. This experience is invaluable, as it helps students to understand what it is like to work in a professional setting. Internships also help students to network with professionals in their field, which can be helpful when they are looking for jobs after PGDM.

My internship at Maruti Suzuki is definitely adding to my professional growth. I am learning new skills and knowledge, as well as gaining valuable experience. I am also networking with professionals in the automotive industry, which will be helpful when I will sit for placement after my PGDM programme.

How is Apeejay building you for your professional journey?

Apeejay School of Management is building me for my professional journey by providing me with a strong foundation in management principles and concepts. ASM is also providing me with the opportunity to gain real-world experience through internships and projects. I am confident that the skills and knowledge I am gaining at Apeejay will help me to succeed in my professional career.

What is your future aspiration ?

My future aspiration is to work within the current organisation or in the automotive industry as a financial analyst. I want to use my skills and knowledge to help companies make informed financial decisions. I also want to contribute to the growth of the automotive industry and help make it more sustainable.
