Reinforcing its commitment to innovation in higher education and Artificial Intelligence in Media Education, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC), Dwarka proudly partnered as the Academic Partner for Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Digital Transformation in Academia: Artificial Intelligence, Research & Innovation,” organised by Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies (MAIMS), GGSIP University, from 9 to 15 July 2026.

As the Academic Partner, AIMC Dwarka played a significant role in supporting the successful execution of the national Faculty Development Programme, which brought together over 150 faculty members, researchers, and academicians from institutions across the country. The programme focused on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence, digital research tools, innovation, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and emerging technologies in reshaping teaching, research, and academic excellence.

Representing AIMC Dwarka, Dr. Mudita Raj, Assistant Professor, and Dr Somraj Bhattacharjee delivered sessions on AI Tools for Teaching and Research. The session explored the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in Media Education, introducing participants to cutting-edge AI platforms for teaching, research, literature reviews, academic writing, content creation, data analysis, and classroom innovation. Through practical demonstrations and interactive discussions, the session showcased how educators can responsibly integrate AI into teaching and research while enhancing productivity, creativity, and academic integrity.

The Faculty Development Programme featured eminent experts from academia, research organisations, industry, and government institutions, including scientists from INFLIBNET, specialists in Generative AI, Intellectual Property Rights professionals, and legal experts. Sessions covered AI-enabled academic ecosystems, ethical AI practices, patent filing and commercialisation, digital research infrastructure, open-access resources, innovation management, and reference management systems, providing participants with practical insights into the future of higher education.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Sajal Mukherjee, Director, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, said:

“At AIMC Dwarka, we believe that the future of higher education lies in the meaningful integration of Artificial Intelligence with human creativity, critical thinking, and ethical learning. Our association as the Academic Partner for this Faculty Development Programme reflects our commitment to advancing AI-enabled teaching, research excellence, and capacity building for educators across disciplines. Such collaborations strengthen academic ecosystems and prepare institutions to lead in an increasingly technology-driven world.”

Through strategic academic collaborations, industry engagement, and future-focused pedagogy, AIMC continues to empower educators and students with the knowledge and digital competencies required to excel in the rapidly evolving media and communication landscape.
