Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, took a monumental step towards shaping the future of its students and faculty members. The institute has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Swarnim Bharatvarsh Foundation, Punjab, a State Unit of the Swarnim Bharatvarsh Foundation.

This collaboration marks the beginning of a promising partnership dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship, encouraging innovation, and striving for excellence in education.

The signing ceremony was followed by ‘Yuva Samwaad’, an entrepreneurship awareness and motivational address. The resource person for the address was Mr. Satish Kumar, a distinguished social worker, who shared invaluable insights with the students, urging them to consider entrepreneurship ventures. His primary advice to the budding entrepreneurs was to “Start Earning Early, Earn While You Learn.”

Drawing inspiration from the success stories of billionaires such as Warren Buffet and Mark Zuckerberg, he further emphasised that students who engage in work while studying tend to develop focus, discipline, confidence, and financial acumen early in life.

Mr. Kumar also stressed the importance of thinking big, thinking new, and thinking out of the box. He illustrated his point by citing the example of social entrepreneur Swami Ramdev, who has revolutionised health through yoga. Encouraging students to embrace risk-taking, Mr. Kumar highlighted it as a crucial element for achieving success.

Along with Mr Satish Kumar, the event also witnessed the presence of Ms. Gehna Kundra, an accomplished entrepreneur and content creator. She shared her inspiring success story while motivating the students to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. The event was also graced by the presence of Mr. Sidharth Sharma, State Coordinator of Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan, and Dr. Ashish Arora, District Coordinator of the event.

Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC in his address, underscored the significance of ‘Yuva Samwaad’ for the aspiring entrepreneurs at the institute. He commended the collaboration between academic institutions and initiatives like Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan for nurturing the next generation of innovative leaders.

He highlighted how entering into this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) could offer several benefits for AIMETC students. They may gain:

Guidance and Support: Through Zilla Rojgar Srijan Kendra, established in every district, students can receive guidance on employment opportunities, government schemes, and project guidance.

Skill Development: The initiative may focus on addressing the root causes of unemployment, which could involve skill development programs. Our students might have access to training that enhances their employability.

Awareness Programmes: Various discussions, seminars, and awareness programs organised under SBA can provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in the evolving job market.

Networking Opportunities: Participation in SBA-related events may enable students to connect with professionals, industry experts, and other students, expanding their network and potential career prospects.

Access to Resources: Our students could benefit from the resources mobilised under SBA, including information on government schemes that support entrepreneurship and employment.

Lastly, he added, “This event served as a platform for students to gain practical insights, encouragement, and inspiration from accomplished individuals in the field of entrepreneurship. Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus remains committed to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among its students, contributing to the broader goals of Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan.”
