This Jalandhar Institute celebrates  legacy of India’s freedom fighters

The Cultural Club of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) in Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, commemorated the Shaheedi Diwas by paying tribute to the martyrs S. Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar via Turban Tying and Slogan Writing Competitions.

The event aimed to honour the courageous sacrifices of these national heroes and draw inspiration from their noble endeavors. Students exhibited their skills in turban tying, showcasing various styles including Patiala Shahi, Amritsari Style, Morni Turban Style, and Vattanwali, reflecting the rich cultural heritage. Judges Mr. Gurpreet Singh and Mr. Amarpreet Singh evaluated participants based on criteria like neatness, style, and color theme.

Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, commended the winners and participants, emphasising the importance of such activities for holistic development. Mr. Daljeet Singh, the convener, ensured smooth coordination of the events.

In the Slogan Writing Competition, students expressed their patriotism, love for the nation, and ideals of brotherhood and societal harmony through profound slogans. Judges Mr. Amanpratap Singh Pal and Mrs. Parmjit Kaur evaluated entries based on theme depiction, creativity, color scheme, and neatness.

The winners of the Turban Tying Competition were Tanvir Samlok (MBA II B) & Charanjot Singh (BTech II) securing the first position, followed by Gurjot Singh (BCA II) in the second position.

In the Slogan Writing Competition, Harleen Kaur (BBA II) clinched the first position, while Rahul (BCA II) secured the second position, and Sukhnandan Kaur (MCA II) grabbed the third position.

The event not only celebrated the legacy of our freedom fighters but also encouraged students to embody their spirit of courage, patriotism, and unity. Through such initiatives, the institute fosters a sense of national pride and instills values of leadership and social responsibility among its students.
