This Gurugram-based University takes a big step towards furthering student’s employability

Apeejay Stya University collaborates with Red Hat to provide students with access to an array of exciting courses, latest equipment, and more

In Mahabharata it was written that the vidya i.e. the knowledge one learns in life has to be arth-kari, meaning financially sound. This holds true especially in todays’ super competitive world. Students are more concerned about the placement rather than the syllabus even before they begin a course.

Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram, understands and respects these concerns of the students. The University always strives to marry education with a solid industry connection. Thus, taking a step further in this direction, ASU recently unveiled its partnership with Red Hat,a renowned leader in open-source solutions.

Dr. Amit Kumar Goel, Dean Academics, proudly unveiled the university’s partnership with Red Hat, a renowned leader in open-source solutions.

During this momentous occasion, Dr. Goel, Professor at Apeejay’s School of Engineering and Technology, highlighted the numerous advantages of this collaboration. He emphasised the availability of Red Hat’s extensive course offerings, with a focus on two types of certifications, the standard one alongside interesting intermediate certifications.

The announcement took place in the presence of eager students from across all academic years. As a token of appreciation for their enthusiasm, students were presented with delightful goody bags and Red Hat caps.

Dr. Anurag Bharatwal was introduced as the course supervisor for this exciting initiative. This collaboration between Apeejay Stya University and Red Hat promises to provide students with invaluable opportunities for skill development and professional growth, thereby reinforcing the university’s commitment to fostering excellence in education.

It also promises a multitude of advantages for both students and faculty. Students gain access to industry-recognised certifications like Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), which will boost their employability. Students also get to work with cutting-edge Red Hat software that will enhance their practical skills. The internships and job prospects within Red Hat will provide budding professionals with a great career launchpad.

Speaking about the same, Dr Goel mentioned, “Red Hat provides valuable opportunities for students to learn and gain hands-on experience with open-source technologies. It offers access to Linux distributions, tools, and resources, fostering skills in system administration, cloud computing, and DevOps. Therefore, I am certain that Red Hat certifications will enhance students’ employability and open doors to a wide range of IT careers.”
