This child influencer is creating a buzz on social media

Arshi Soni, a class 2 student at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, made her school proud by winning the ‘Global Glory &  Kids Star Walk” Award 2022. In an interview, her mother, Mrs. Alma Soni, talks about Arshi’s recent achievements. Read edited excerpts:

Tell me something about the competition.

Wonder Kids Global Magazine presented the Kid’s Influencer Calendar from the House of Prime Communication Media, New Delhi. The event was organised by the company to welcome ‘star kids’ and be the part of Wonder Kids Influencers Calendar. Arshi participated in the competition and grabbed the e Kids Star Walk award.

How did you get to know about the competition?

We got to know about the competition through flyers and social media posts. We were very excited to make her participate in the show.

How long did Arshi practice for the competition?

Prime Media Company organised a one-day workshop for all the participants during which participating students were taught how to walk with confidence on the stage. So, she practiced for the competition only during the workshop.

Is she planning to participate in any other competition? Where have all she participated so far?

Arshi is preparing for academic competitions as well as another ramp walk show. She is an influencer with more than 20,000 followers on Instagram. She has promoted many kid’s brands and participated in several school events.

Any basic tips for other students?

We believe that every child is special, and parents should always encourage their children for other curricular activities. The most important benefit of extra-curricular activities is that it helps the students in boosting their social skills and helps in their self-development.

Students feel pressured during their studies and have performance pressure to gain good grades in exams. In such conditions, practicing extracurricular activities help them relax their mind and act like a stress buster. We cannot force a student to just read books and become intelligent. Extracurricular activities play a key role in the overall development of students.

What are Arshi’s hobbies?

She usually spends her leisure time reading books or playing tennis. She also likes to get her pictures clicked.

What is her ambition?

She usually says she wants to become an inspiration for others. If I talk about her career whenever someone asks her, she always says, ‘I want to become a Pilot’, but she is quite young now and it is too early to say anything.

What extracurricular activities does Arshi enjoy?

Arshi enjoys skating, playing tennis, and doing art and craft.
