Class VIII students at Apeejay School, Noida impress judges with eloquence, creativity, and clarity in an extempore contest

To nurture confident communicators and encourage quick thinking, Apeejay School, Noida, organised an engaging Extempore Competition for the students of Class VIII. The event provided a vibrant platform for young learners to think on their feet, articulate their ideas, and demonstrate the power of effective public speaking.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who spoke on a diverse range of thought-provoking topics. With minimal preparation time, the participants displayed remarkable spontaneity, confidence, and presence of mind. Their speeches reflected not only clarity of thought but also creativity, awareness, and the ability to present ideas in a coherent and compelling manner.

Throughout the competition, the audience was captivated by the students’ confident delivery, expressive communication, and thoughtful perspectives. Each participant brought a unique voice to the stage, making the event both intellectually stimulating and inspiring. The competition served as an excellent opportunity for students to overcome stage fear, strengthen their public speaking abilities, and develop the confidence to express themselves effectively.

The participants were evaluated on key parameters, including content, confidence, fluency, articulation, and overall presentation. The judges appreciated the students for their sincere efforts, originality of thought, and enthusiasm. They encouraged the participants to cultivate the habit of reading widely, staying informed about current affairs, thinking critically, and expressing their opinions with conviction, as these skills are essential for academic excellence and responsible citizenship.

Addressing the students, Vice-principal Ms Puneeta Bhasin commended the participants for their enthusiasm and commendable performances. She encouraged them to view every competition as an opportunity to learn, grow, and build self-confidence. Emphasising the importance of communication and leadership in today’s world, she urged students to continue participating wholeheartedly in such activities, which help shape well-rounded personalities and prepare them for future challenges.
