As these Class VIII-C students (academic year 2024-25) of Apeejay School, Noida, step into Class IX, their journey of hard work, determination, and sincerity shines brightly. Each lesson learned and every challenge overcome has shaped them into more confident and capable individuals.
Meet Vidit Bansal, Manya Kalia, and Akshaj Bhatnagar, who have scored 97.4%, 96.4℅ and 95.8% respectively in their final exams. Speaking about his preparation strategy, Vidit said, “I study chapters in advance before the exams are overhead so that I only have to revise them before the exams and I don’t fall short of time to prepare. After coming home, I study for at least three hours and then continue my daily activities.
Manya, on the other hand, began by identifying her weak areas and giving them focused attention. “I emphasise regular revision and strive to maintain consistency in my study routine. I give special importance to thoroughly understanding NCERT content, as it forms the foundation for most subjects. Rather than rushing through the syllabus, I aim to develop a deep and clear understanding of each concept. For me, the quality of learning is far more important than simply covering a large quantity of material,” she said and added that her study routine involved alternating between subjects each week to maintain variety and avoid monotony.
While Akshaj explained, “I had already completed most of the syllabus in the session break while self-studying for various Olympiads. I discovered that the best strategy is to pay full attention to the teacher in the class and ask questions for clarification. I used to complete my homework in breaks or as soon as I got home. Every day, I would make it a point to cover two subjects and would keep quizzing myself.”
So, how did they tackle the challenges that came along with exams? “The most challenging part of exams is that I often find that I do not have enough time to revise all the chapters. But during the stressful times, the teachers provided detailed worksheets with advanced questions to help us prepare,” shared all three.
With stronger foundations and a clearer vision, they now stand at the threshold of greater opportunities and higher goals. The future is bright — and it begins now.
