Apeejay Schools in Jalandhar, Punjab, celebrated Independence Day with much fervour and joy. And this spirit isn’t surprising keeping in mind the rich contribution of the Founder-Chairman Dr Stya Paul in the independence struggle.

Seeking inspiration from the veteran’s life itself, Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, marked the Independence Day celebration with deep reverence and patriotism. School coordinator, Ms. Deepti Kaushal, hoisted the national flag in the presence of the faculty and the prefectorial board. The event was elevated by inspirational speeches from the head boy and head girl which helped foster a sense of unity and national pride amongst all students.

A member of the teaching staff recited a delightful poem in Hindi that encapsulated the spirit of freedom. The event culminated with a collective rendition of the National Anthem, evoking a strong sense of patriotism among all present. The celebration not only honoured the nation’s sovereignty, but also showcased the school’s commitment to instilling patriotic values in its students.

Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar, also joined in the patriotic fervour as the school celebrated the day with much enthusiasm.  The toddlers dressed up in saffron, white and green to depict the national flag of India. It was indeed a picturesque sight for all. Nursery grade students performed a hearty dance on popular patriotic tracks. Kindergarten kids dressed up as freedom fighters and also recited some iconic slogans from the independence movement.

Similarly, Mr. Malkiat Singh, Principal of Apeejay School, Model Town in Jalandhar also encouraged his students as they put on a splendid show on the auspicious occasion. The Principal accompanied by the Headmistress of the pre-primary wing Ms. Nidhi Ghai kicked off the celebrations by hoisting the tricolour in the school compound. Students across classes 1-4 had a splendid march furling little tricolor flags in their hands. The students also presented a group song transmitting a wave of patriotism in the premises.

The Principal encouraged all students in his address towards the end of the event. He mentioned, “Dear students, always remember to follow the path of righteousness as shown by the Indian leaders. Learn from them, seek inspiration from their lives and contribute towards the development of the nation. I congratulate you all for such a lovely programme and wish you a very happy independence day. Jai Hind!”
