The tricolour hoisted high at Apeejay Noida

Apeejay School, Noida, celebrated Republic Day in style as students put together lively cultural performances

Republic Day celebrated annually on January 26 is a crucial day for the nation. It marks the day when the Constitution of India came into effect in 1950, making the nation a republic state. This historic date since then has been celebrated annually with much pomp, zeal and spirit. The Republic Day parade is the center point of attraction for all citizens, as one watches tableaus of most Indian states, and heroic stunts performed by the Indian armed forces.

And the celebrations were special at Apeejay School, Noida as well. The school ground was decorated very vibrantly for the special assembly. The celebrations began with the morning prayers, followed by hoisting the National Flag and singing the National Anthem. It was a sight to behold as students sang the National Anthem with a head held high as the patriotic fervour oozed out.

The school campus reverberated with the tunes of the music and dance performances by the students. A theatrical production written and performed by the budding student writers was a huge hit with the audience. The celebrations concluded with the words of encouragement by Mr. AK Sharma, the Principal of the school.  He encouraged all students to realise their collective and individual duty as responsible citizens of the nation and follow the path of honesty and truth.
