In a vibrant display of national pride and cultural diversity, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, commemorated Republic Day on January 25, 2024. The school grounds buzzed with excitement and patriotic zeal as students and faculty gathered to mark this significant day in India’s history.

The celebration began with a ceremonial guard of honor, a tradition that speaks volumes about the discipline and respect ingrained in the school’s ethos. Accompanied by the school band’s captivating performance, the unfurling of the tricolor was a poignant moment, evoking a deep sense of national pride among those present.

A major highlight of the day was the performance by the pre-primary wing students. Adorned in the traditional attire representing various states, these young students encapsulated the essence of India’s rich cultural diversity. Their portrayal was not just entertaining but also educational, shedding light on the country’s multifaceted heritage.

The school choir’s rendition of Swarg Se Sundar Desh Hamara was a testament to their vocal prowess and their deep-rooted love for the motherland. The song’s powerful lyrics, combined with the choir’s harmonious voices, resonated across the school, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.

Adding to the patriotic spirit was a heartfelt recitation of a Hindi patriotic poem. The reciter’s passion and the poem’s stirring words ignited a sense of national pride, reminding the audience of the sacrifices made for India’s independence.

In a commendable gesture, the Principal of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park Ms Surabhi Joshi recognised the achievements of the NCC cadets and students excelling in the school band. This recognition not only celebrated their talents but also underscored the importance of co-curricular activities in holistic education.

The event also saw Kavya Vijay Kumar of class VI and Akshita Niranjan of Class VIII being felicitated for their exemplary performance in the Rang Bahaar competition. These awards highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing and acknowledging artistic talents among its students.

The rendition of Saare Jahaan Se Accha was a moving experience, stirring a sense of unity and pride. This was beautifully complemented by a spirited dance performance on Vande Mataram, which captivated the audience with its energy and expression of nationalistic spirit.

The culmination of the event was marked by the singing of the National Anthem. This not only signaled the end of the day’s festivities but also served as a unifying force, bringing together the entire Apeejay School community in a moment of solemn respect and devotion to the nation.
