Mrs. Neeru Logani is a homemaker. Her husband Mr. Ajay Logani is a proprietor and owner of a printing unit in Khan Market, New Delhi. Their son Nakul Logani, a class 11 student has recently joined Apeejay School International, South Delhi. In a brief interview, Mrs. Logani lists her reasons for choosing the school and discusses her son’s progress since joining the school. Edited excerpts:

Why did you choose Apeejay School International for your son?

The International Baccalaureate board curriculum (IB) at the school was very interesting. Most of the IB schools in the national capital region are either in Noida or Gurugram. Since I reside in Delhi, this school is near my place. That was a big reason for getting Nakul enrolled here. The curriculum here is very contemporary and is the need of the hour.

Please tell us a bit about Nakul and take us through his progress at school?

Nakul is a sincere child. He is a very fast learner. He loves writing and is always making detailed notes on his subjects. He is very focused on his studies. It was a 360-degree change for Nakul with regard to the subjects when he joined the school. He did not have Psychology in his previous school. He started liking this subject from the very beginning itself. He has now developed an interest in some of the other newly included subjects as well.

Are the teachers engaging well with him?

Yes. The teachers are really commendable. They are putting in a lot of effort. I really like the faculty. Nakul has only joined recently but they are doing a great job. I conveyed this to them in the last Parent Teachers Meeting as well. I would especially like to thank Neha Ma’am, the Diploma Programme coordinator.

What is the best thing about the school?

The teachers try to reach out to the students by coming down to the level of a student. They don’t pressure the parents regarding the education of the student. Everything is being covered in the school. The parents only get surprises after seeing their child’s progress.

Now that the school is reopening next week, is Nakul excited to attend the school physically?

Yes, definitely he is looking forward to it. He is really excited about attending the school physically for the first time. He is quite happy about it. He has loved the experience at the school so far.
