‘Teachers give importance to experiential learning in this school’

Tamanna, whose son Helik studies in class VIII at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, believes the school is one of the ideal institutes for the holistic development of students. In an interview, the mother, who helps in the family business, shares her experience with the school.

How has Apeejay Tanda Road impacted your child’s growth?

For Helik, Apeejay is like his second home. Ever since he joined the school in nursery, the environment there has had a positive impact on his overall growth. He is good at painting and dancing, apart from academics, and is constantly honing his skills, thanks to his teachers.

What kind of changes are you seeing in his personality?

As a toddler, Helik used to be very shy. But now he is a head boy in the school. He can handle multiple responsibilities and can on stage and address an audience confidently. Besides inculcating soft skills, the school has also taught him important human values. He is a polite and calm individual, who does not say anything harsh. And he advises me and his father to do the same.

What about academics?

All his concepts are clear, evident in the way he converses with his classmates. And that has obviously been built because of the teachers, who focus on experiential learning through concept-based activities, science exhibitions, and so on. The teachers are very friendly and explain concepts in an age-appropriate manner. Overall, Helik is getting a lot of exposure.

Do you get to interact with the teachers?

We keep meeting and interacting with teachers at parent-teacher meetings, which are extremely helpful. They are also available on the phone in case of any query.
