Amuljit Singh with his mother, Tajinder Jit Kaur

Tajinder Jit Kaur, mother of Amuljit Singh, says she is really happy to see her son so enthusiastic about going to college. The 21-year-old is pursuing an MBA from the Apeejay Institute of Management Engineering and Technology Campus (AIMETC). In an interview, Tajinder Jit shares why Apeejay has been the right pick for her son. Edited excerpts:

Why did you choose Apeejay for your son?

When my son used to go to his school, Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) was en route. He really liked the building of the institute and since then he had decided he will pursue his higher education from Apeejay. He first completed his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from ACFA. Subsequently, he decided to pursue his MBA in Finance and Business Analytics from AIMETC. My son is also looking at pursuing a career in the same field hence I feel he will be groomed well at Apeejay given they have highly-qualified faculty. Moreover, most of his friends were also keen on joining AIMETC after completing their undergraduate programme. And we are very impressed with the way Apeejay institutes train students.

How is the faculty at Apeejay?

Both the teaching and non-teaching staff are very cooperative and helpful. They have a very good counselling team who guide parents and students so well. They treat students like their own family and are very friendly. My son is really happy with the way teachers at Apeejay support all the students.

Have you visited the campus?

Unfortunately, I haven’t got a chance to visit the campus. He had just taken the admission and after a few months the pandemic hit. The campus was shut and online classes were held. But I want to visit it now that the campus has reopened.

How has Amuljit’s progress been?

Amuljit enjoys going to college. Recently, the PINNACLE event was held on the campus and my son participated in so many activities. He was in the Bhangra dance team. I have seen he is very enthusiastic about academics as well as extracurricular activities. When he was in ACFA, he used to participate in different events. The faculty members at Apeejay always encourage him.
