The Pre-primary Wing of Apeejay School, Saket, came alive with colour, creativity and the irresistible aroma of the season’s favourite fruit as it hosted Tango with Mango, a vibrant mango and its products exhibition. Designed to celebrate the nutritional richness and versatility of mangoes, the event offered an engaging blend of learning, creativity and community participation for students and parents alike.
The exhibition commenced on a cheerful note with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the school Principal, Dr Sujeet Eric Masih, in the presence of enthusiastic parents. The inauguration marked the beginning of a delightful journey that encouraged children to discover the many facets of the ‘King of Fruits’ through interactive displays and hands-on experiences.

“Kudos, parents and teachers, wonderful efforts, great togetherness.Happy Mango Day!” Dr Masih shared.
Parents played a central role in making the event a grand success by setting up attractive stalls featuring an impressive assortment of mango-based products. From refreshing beverages and smoothies to homemade pickles, jams, desserts and other nutritious delicacies, the exhibition showcased the versatility of mangoes in everyday diets. Parents also shared simple, healthy and delicious recipes, inspiring children and fellow parents to incorporate seasonal fruits into their meals in creative ways.

The young learners explored a wide variety of mangoes, learning about their distinctive colours, shapes, textures and flavours. They also gained valuable insights into the nutritional benefits of mangoes, including their rich content of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that contribute to overall health and well-being. Interactive discussions helped children understand how seasonal fruits support healthy growth and why balanced eating habits are important from an early age.
The exhibition transformed learning into a joyful experience by combining observation, exploration and participation. It strengthened students’ understanding of healthy food choices while nurturing curiosity, communication skills and environmental awareness. Equally significant was the enthusiastic involvement of parents, whose active participation fostered stronger school-home collaboration and enriched the learning experience.

Through Tango with Mango, Apeejay School once again demonstrated its commitment to experiential education by creating meaningful opportunities that connect classroom learning with real-life experiences. The event concluded on a high note, leaving students, parents and teachers with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation for healthy living, collaborative learning and the vibrant flavours of the mango season.
