Students welcome 2023 with great fervour

To begin the New Year with a bash, first-year students of School of  Engineering and Technology (SOET), Apeejay Stya University, organised a fun-filled event on the college premises.    

Prof. Moin Udin, Professor and Chair Technical Research, addressed the students on this auspicious occasion while encouraging them to do well in their lives. He also appreciated the efforts of the students in arranging this wonderful event to welcome 2023.

The celebration started with a few rocking dance performances by Muskan, Dipanshi and Tanisha of first-year, which indeed set the stage on fire. At the same time, Vaishali, a second-year student, showed her excitement by an impromptu singing performance.

Beside these, a few more interesting and mind-boggling games made the students get into the festive fervour and enjoy themselves. The students who won various competitions during the year were also felicitated with chocolates and gifts.

In the end, the cake-cutting ceremony was held and all the students and the faculty members relished the yummy cake and headed towards the DJ floor. The party was really very rejuvenating for everyone as they welcomed the New Year with the thought of positive energy, success and rise in everyone’s life.

On the special occasion, Dr. Garima Sharma, Assistant Professor at SOET said, ‘Looking at the excitement level and happiness in the first year students of School of engineering and Technology was just the best beginning of this New Year. The function was well executed, and fun filled as all the faculties and students had a wonderful start of the year with this departmental celebration.’
