Students showcase financial prowess and team spirit at “Fin-Leisure” event

The Finance Club of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar recently orchestrated a stimulating financial event, “Fin-Leisure”. This interactive competition aimed to challenge the financial prowess and time management skills of students from BBA, B.Com (H), and MBA programs.

The event commenced with “Roll the Dice,” a qualifying stage that established the energetic ambiance for the subsequent challenges. Participants navigated the intricate terrain of financial language in “Fin-Vocab (Jumbled words),” showcasing their prowess in unscrambling jumbled financial terms. The intellectual rigor continued in the final round, “Riddles (Logos and Taglines),” where students were tested on their ability to unravel clever riddles connecting various financial concepts.

The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with over 40 students showcasing enthusiasm and true sporting values. Participants embraced the challenge of the time-based format, striving to answer questions accurately within the allocated 15 to 25 seconds for each round.

The competition encouraged students to apply their financial knowledge and enhance their time management skills. The first round served as a qualifying stage, leading to subsequent rounds where participants demonstrated their understanding of financial terminology and connected riddles to logos and taglines.

In a display of exceptional intellect and teamwork, the  winners of the event emerged with Team 19 securing the coveted first position. Comprising Neonika and Shivangi Bansal from MBA Semester- 1 B, their financial acumen and strategic collaboration set them apart. The second position was claimed by Team 8, where Poorvi and Naina from MBA Semester- 1 A showcased their remarkable skills, closely followed by the third position secured by Team 7, with Japneet and Akanksha, both from MBA Semester- 1 A, demonstrating their commendable grasp of financial concepts.

The coordinators executed the competition meticulously, ensuring smooth proceedings. Ms. Hardeep Kaur, Faculty Coordinator applauded the team and participants during the event. Dr. Anu Sahi, the Convenor of the Finance Club, expressed appreciation for the winners, participants, and the entire Finance Club. She motivated the team to continue organising such engaging activities.

Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, acknowledged the efforts of the Finance Club coordinators and encouraged all students to actively participate in more such competitions. He  emphasised, “Such competitions are  important for holistic growth”.

Overall, the success of “Fin-Leisure” showcased not only the financial acumen of the students but also the vibrant and enthusiastic community fostered by AIMETC’s Finance Club.
