Education extends far beyond the four walls of a classroom, and school excursions provide students with invaluable opportunities to learn through experience. With this spirit of experiential learning, 47 students of Apeejay School, Saket, accompanied by teachers Ms Ambareen, Ms Deepa, Mr Imran, and Mr Pandey, embarked on an unforgettable educational and adventure trip to Manali in May 2026. The three-day journey offered the perfect blend of adventure, cultural exploration, personal growth, and lifelong memories.

The adventure began with an overnight bus journey from Delhi, filled with excitement, music, and anticipation. Upon reaching the picturesque hills of Himachal Pradesh, students were welcomed by breathtaking mountain views and refreshing weather. After checking into a beautiful riverside resort nestled amidst lush greenery, they set out to explore some of Manali’s most iconic attractions. Visits to the historic Hidimba Devi Temple, the serene Van Vihar National Park, and the bustling Mall Road introduced students to the region’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.

One of the highlights of the trip was the excursion to Sissu and Solang Valley. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, flowing rivers, and pristine landscapes, students experienced nature in its most magnificent form. The trek to the stunning Sissu Waterfall became a memorable lesson in perseverance, teamwork, and resilience as students encouraged one another throughout the journey.

The evenings were equally memorable, featuring bonfires, music, dance, and opportunities for students to bond with peers and teachers outside the academic environment. Such moments fostered stronger relationships, improved communication skills, and created a sense of belonging within the school community.

The final day focused on wellness and adventure. A rejuvenating yoga session amid the mountains fostered mindfulness and emotional well-being. At the same time, activities such as ziplining, rope challenges, the Burma Bridge, and obstacle courses helped students develop courage, leadership, confidence, and team spirit.

Adding a meaningful dimension to the trip, students also participated in an environmental awareness initiative by cleaning riverbanks and promoting responsible tourism. A visit to a traditional Kullu shawl factory further enriched their understanding of local craftsmanship and culture.

“The experience I enjoyed the most was the trek to the waterfall. The scenic views and the experience with my friends made it very special. This trip strengthened my bond with my friends and teachers, creating memories I will always cherish. The Manali trip was an unforgettable experience,” Avirudh Sethi, Class XII-B, shared.

“This trip helped me grow personally in many ways. I became more independent by managing my things. It also improved my bonding with friends and teachers as we spent quality time together and created wonderful memories as a team. One thing I will always cherish is all the fun and laughter shared with my friends throughout the trip,” Viraj Basoya, Class XII-A, said.

More than just a recreational outing, the Manali Adventure Trip 2026 served as a powerful learning experience. It helped students become more independent, responsible, and confident while strengthening friendships and creating cherished memories. As the group returned home with hearts full of gratitude and joy, the trip stood as a reminder that some of life’s most valuable lessons are learned not from textbooks, but from the journeys we undertake together.
