Stories that inspire

Recently, Apeejay School, Pitampura, in collaboration with Scholastic India, organised an engaging Book Reading and Meet the Author Session for the students of Class VIII. It aimed at nurturing a love for reading, storytelling, and inspiring life narratives. The session featured Ms Paromita Sengupta, author and translator of Ratan Tata: The Amazing Tata Adventure, who introduced students to the extraordinary journey of one of India’s most admired industrialists and philanthropists.

The interactive session offered students an opportunity to explore the life and legacy of Ratan Tata and to understand the values and principles that shaped his remarkable journey. Through vivid storytelling, interesting anecdotes, fun facts, and quiz nuggets, Ms Sengupta brought various milestones from his life closer to the young audience.

She spoke about Ratan Tata’s visionary approach, determination, and commitment to nation-building, highlighting how his professional journey was shaped not only by ambition but also by humility, compassion, and a strong sense of responsibility towards society. The session encouraged students to look beyond conventional ideas of success and appreciate the importance of integrity, perseverance, innovation, and service.
