Rising to new academic heights, these Class VIII toppers (academic year 2024-25) of Apeejay School, Greater Noida, have now stepped into Class IX with confidence, determination, and a strong sense of purpose. Their success is a reflection of unwavering sincerity, disciplined routines, and consistent hard work throughout the year.
Meet Shria Raghuvanshi, Izaan Rahman and Prakrit Chandra, who have scored 96.71%, 94% and 91.7% respectively in their final exams. Speaking about her preparation strategy, Shria explained, “To prepare effectively, I began by carefully examining the syllabus of each subject and understanding the weightage of different topics. I gave special attention to tougher subjects like Mathematics and Social Science, as they require consistent practice and conceptual clarity. My main focus was on NCERT textbooks, since most questions are directly based on them. I planned my time based on the difficulty level of each subject, giving more hours to subjects that needed deeper understanding. I made sure to revise regularly and attempted sample papers to check my preparation level.”
Similarly, Izaan shared, “I began focused study two months before exams, starting early in the morning with tough topics when it was quiet. After breaks and meals, I revised previous lessons, tackled favourite subjects like Math, and played outdoors in the evening. A final study session at night helped me stay consistent and productive.”
For Prakrit, the trick was to understand concepts rather than rote learning. “I make sure to study regularly and revise whatever is taught in school on the same day. I focus more on NCERT books and try to solve as many practice questions as possible. For difficult topics, I take the help of teachers or watch educational videos. I also take mock tests and previous year question papers to check my preparation,” he added.
Sharing further about the undeniable support lent out by teachers, Shria said, “My teachers played a very important role in my preparation. They explained difficult concepts with patience and clarity, especially in Maths and Science. Izaan and Prakrit mentioned that, “They also provided additional questions and helped us practice regularly. During exam time, they motivated us and even conducted revision classes and mock tests, which helped build confidence.”
With well-structured timetables and balanced study habits, these achievers have made both their parents and teachers immensely proud. Their journey has not only been about marks but also about setting high standards, staying focused, and embracing challenges with a positive spirit.
