George Eliot wrote in her celebrated novel Middlemarch that the world survives solely due to the kind hearted humane acts of people. One such humanitarian soul was Smt. Rajeshwari Paul, the venerable ‘first lady’ of Apeejay Stya & Svran Group.

To commemorate her 98th birth anniversary, Apeejay schools in Faridabad organised special prayer meetings and paid a humble tribute to her life.

Mrs. Anita Yadav, Principal of Apeejay School, Faridabad, Sector 15, offered floral tribute in front of Smt Rajeshwari Paul’s picture. Teachers and students performed special prayers and sang bhajans during the occasion. Remembering the art and aesthetic sensibilities that were unique to Smt. Rajeshwari Paul ji, students also performed dance.

Further, Mrs. Yadav read out President Madam, Sushma Paul Berlia’s message on the occasion and urged the students to follow the path of humanity and demonstrate the values of kindness, hardwork and commitment that were exemplified by Smt. Rajeshwari Paul throughout her life.

An art exhibition was also organised in which the creative works of the students were displayed, providing them a unique opportunity to appreciate the power of creativity.

She said, “Smt. Rajeshwari Paul mam was a very noble soul. She would not let even a postman go without offering him some food and water. She was a beautiful artist herself and was also a great admirer of art and aesthetics. All must learn from her life and embody the values of kindness, humility and art.”
